The role of women photojournalists, war photographers and documentary photographers in Spain (1965-2015)
Abstract
This doctoral thesis builds on four years of research I have conducted on this topic, expanding its scope and delving deeper into the role of female photojournalists, war photographers, and documentary photographers in Spain from 1965 to 2015. It examines their participation, recognition, challenges, achievements, and the evolution of their status within the fields of photojournalism and documentary photography.
Employing a mixed-methods approach that combines exploratory and conclusive descriptive cross-sectional designs, this study utilizes ethnographic techniques and in-depth interviews to provide a comprehensive analysis.
